We’re creating a new cohousing community!
Westwick Row Cohousing Community – located in Leverstock Green, on the edge of Hemel Hempstead – is being designed as a place where it’s easy to live well.
The planning application is currently with the local authority. Subject to planning approval it is anticipated construction will start in Spring 2027 and complete in Spring 2029. This is a cohousing project enabled by TOWN and The Crown Estate.
The Cohousing Community will have 31 homes that are well built and highly sustainable and energy-efficient, a Common House , a shared internal lane and a community garden where it’s safe for children to play independently.
Everyone in the cohousing community will have their own home, with a garden or balcony, and share and look after the Common House, community garden and internal lane with neighbours. The shared garden is a space to grow food, spend time together and let children play safely and independently. The Common House includes two ensuite guest rooms, a laundry, a kitchen and dining space, playroom, lounge and a co-working space.
There is a mix of terraced 2-4 bedroom houses and 1 and 2-bed apartments available for sale, and a 20% discount on some homes is available for first-time buyers.
If you would like to find out more, join our cohousing group, and get involve in co-creating our community please contact us by registering with TOWN Cohousing or emailing us directly at cohousingwestwickrow@gmail.com.
This is a great time to get involved, we are just about to start plot allocations, resume the co-design process with the professional team and we have started to work as a group on how our community will work.
