Persons with Significant Control

This article contributed by Wrigleys.
As you may be aware, on 6 April the Persons with Significant Control (PSC) regime came into force which will require most UK companies, CICs and LLPs to keep a “PSC Register”. This will have an impact on community-led housing groups and organisations that have these legal structures.

The registers will need to be filed with Companies House from 30 June 2016 and therefore organisations have from now until then to establish whether they do have persons or entities with significant control. If they don’t, they still need to have a register which just notes that they have looked into the matter and established that they do not have persons/entities with significant control.

We have prepared the attached briefing note which explains the PSC regime in greater detail and the legal obligations associated with it. We hope you find this of interest and use.

If you have any questions about the PSC regime, or your legal obligations in respect of it, please do not hesitate to get in touch with any member of the Wrigley’s team.
