We are a group of lesbians aged over fifty who are creating a new way of living together as we grow older. LOLC are building a supportive and vibrant community, run on feminist principles, which will enable us to live our lives to the full, staying active, independent, and engaged, and continuing to share our talents and skills as we grow older.
We plan to build a cohousing development which includes shared ownership and rental options of around 25 units in Greater London. We will each have our own flat and our own front door, but there will be shared outside and inside space where we can come together for meals, meetings and other activities. Some resources will be shared, and our homes will be designed and built for low environmental impact and future-proofed for our changing needs.
LOLC are working in partnership with the Greater London Assembly’s Community Led Housing Hub, and are in discussion with Housing Associations, we have in principle funding from the GLA Community Housing Fund.

You need to be a lesbian over fifty and a Londoner to fit our criteria. If that is you and you might be interested in joining LOLC, please get in touch.
We are keen that our membership should be diverse, and while we are already a mixed community, we are particularly interested in hearing from black and minority ethnic women. But we are interested in anyone who fits our criteria and is interested in us.
