We are an intergenerational group, known as MICO. We began as a joint project between Chorlton Cohousing and ManCoHo.
Our vision is to create a highly sustainable inclusive intergenerational community in Manchester.
Our project aims to create the first net zero eco-village in Manchester with buildings achieving Passivhaus certification. At the heart of what we do will be sustainability and living ecologically sensitive lifestyles.
Any scheme we build will include a ‘Common House’ for social and community events including regular communal meals, plus guest rooms, laundry, bike and mobility scooter storage.
We currently have two sites in the south of Greater Manchester where we are in active liaison with the owners of the land about their developments including up to forty cohousing homes for MICO.
We are looking to extend our membership and would welcome applications from anyone who wishes to be involved in our project. Please contact us through out website.
