The Hive Cohousing will be a Block C of a 4-block development site that will be on the edge of the town centre of Northstowe, a new town being built near Cambridge. Our enabling developers are TOWN in partnership with developers and house-builders Hill Residential. Our neighbours in Block B will be Suvana Cohousing, a cohousing community based on Buddhist values. Each community will have its own Common House and will be sharing some facilities with their cohousing neighbours.
Planning permission has been secured and we are expecting work to start on site late 2026 with a view to us moving in sometime in late 2028/early 2029.

Our community aims to foster a strong sense of belonging, shared contribution and connection where every resident is heard and valued, building social cohesion and resilience.
We are committed to sustainable living in its broadest sense. Through collaboration, shared resources and intentional design, we are seeking to reduce our environmental footprint and costs.
We will be a good neighbour and a positive member of the wider Northstowe community and will be actively supportive of local environmental initiatives.
