Angel Yard is a developing cohousing scheme in Norwich. Our site is just north of the city centre in a conservation area near the riverside walk. We are working with TOWN, the developers for Marmalade Lane in Cambridge, to bring our project to life, and currently (2021-2022) we are preparing our planning application for submission.
Our draft scheme is for 32 private sale homes with 2 homes for people with learning disabilities. Due to our central location many of the units are flats with just a few houses, plus a common house and shared garden space. For those who want a bit more greenery, we have a group of allotments just a short cycle ride away that is already producing fruit and veg.
We have a lively intergenerational group of members ages 0-70s but still welcome new joiners. House prices in Norwich are reasonable, neither as expensive as the south-east nor quite as cheap as the northeast / northwest of the UK. Our homes will be on a par with other attractive new build properties in central-ish Norwich, and will benefit from energy-efficient construction and the additional communal facilities.
Please see our website https://angelyard.org.uk for more details as they emerge, or email hello@angelyard.org.uk if you have any questions.
