Community led housing as a model of building communities is growing across the world. The UKCN is connecting with other organisations in the UK and internationally to share experiences, knowledge and to make our voice heard.
On May 28th & 29th HUB Europe brings together groups and practitioners. The first day is an opportunity for groups to share knowledge and develop Europe-wide objectives on improving the pathways to developing community led housing. So if you would like to deepen the pool of knowledge about community led housing in the UK with our European neighbours, please visit the online Platform at https://www.urbamonde.org/en/hub-europe-2016 to submit details on your group and to receive an invite to these sessions.
Open to all groups: “The Seventh Habitat Groupé Fair will take place on the 29th of May. The fair is an occasion for interested individuals, families and inhabitant groups to meet professionals from the field of Community-led and participatory housing: lawyers, architects, project representatives, legal experts, experts who have implemented intergenerational projects or initiatives with the elderly, consultants in the field of self-help construction, entrepreneurs in eco-construction, authors, thinkers, academia, etc. … There will also be an exhibition on participatory housing in Belgium. A project fair will allow for interested people to join or form a participatory housing project!”
