Thursday 28th September sees the first in-person cohousing summit in the UK in 6 years and keynote speaker Charles “Chuck” Durrett, leading US cohousing architect and one-half of the American team that coined the term cohousing and brought it to the English speaking world. The event is sold-out with a waiting list for anyone who might want to join. The event celebrates the opening 20 years ago of the first new build cohousing scheme at Springhill, Stroud and since then 10 more pioneering and award-winning projects have followed. Sponsored by Wrigley’s, TOWN and Ecology Building Society; speakers and participants cover a wide range of cohousing talents and positions from local groups to developers to Homes England to the Taskforce on Older People’s Housing. We will also have the Chair of the Danish Cohousing Association – the motherland of cohousing!
