I realised some time ago how little I knew my neighbours let alone people further along the street. I'm more conscious now of the background tension and the isolation that seem to be part of modern life. For a general sense of well-being and interconnection, as well as the practicalities of life, economies of scale, and living more sustainably, cohousing seems a great way forward.
