Choosing the Right Legal Structure for your Cohousing Project – with WrigleysLLP.
On Friday 20th February the Cohousing Lunchtime Webinar featured a presentation and Q&A on cohousing legal structures with Malcom Lynch and Elizabeth Wilson from Wrigleys LLP solicitors. Wrigleys have a wealth of experience working with community housing groups and are legal specialists in structuring and financing forms of community-led projects.
Malcolm and Lizzie talked us through different types of legal structures, such as companies limited by guarantee, co-operatives and community benefit societies, as well as looking at the structural relationship of CLTs and cohousing groups.
A recording of the presentation is uploaded below. There were 3 polls run with the attendees regarding the status of their groups and their thoughts on consensus and decision making, viewers will not be able to see these as part of the recording.
