On the Brink is a new cohousing project in the Brincliffe/ Nether Edge area of Sheffield. We have bought a large property and are just about to start changing it from offices to 11 cohousing units in which we will live happily ever after. In July we launched a peer to peer investment scheme to attract a proportion of the development money we need to do the building works.

It seems an age ago since writing the last blog and my amazingly hot and sunny camping break in the Lake District; and yes I did manage to climb Scafell Pike and the Langdale Pikes, having not done so since my teens!
The UK Cohousing Network wants to revitalise our web based communication, to enable easy communication between members, an open source style of information exchange to grow a wealth of resources, to become a great advocate for cohousing and a self sustaining network.
We're excited to share our passion for what we do, and how we do it, and our Sussex Cohousing events will give you a real insight into the way our project works. Irrespective of whether you'd like to be more involved in our particular project, the workshops on sociocracy and collaborative communication are valuable in various realms of life.
On the Brink continue to surge ahead with their scheme in Sheffield not withstanding a slight delay caused by bats! Planning permission should be granted for the refurbishment of Brincliffe House next week with Charity Bank lined up to lend them £1.4 million pounds for the development.
